The project started in the year 2000 when Theodoro Conrad, Swiss by birth but settled in Spain some years before, decided to plant a vineyard on the estate known as “Don Jacinto” This land had been bought in 1998 when the new owner fell in love with the imposing landscape of the Sierra de las Nieves which has just recently been declared a National Park.
In 2012 the property was acquired by Olivier Bourgeois, also of Swiss nationality. Not only to cultivate the best grapes from which the wines are made, but also to try and obtain a harmony between the soil, the plants and the wildlife that make up the terroir
