Tasting Note Morosanto Platero

Color

Intense purple red with garnet reflections.

Nose

Complex aroma of red fruits such as plums and blackberry accompanied by balsamic notes, and a mineral touch, giving way to spices. Frank on the nose, with fruity notes and terroir-specific aromas, gaining complexity in aged wines, with the evolution and aromas typical of aging.

Palate

On the palate, it is flavorful, very broad, sweet, with great balance and complexity. Wide and long finish.

These are wines with volume, structured but harmonious, with mature tannins, good persistence, unctuous and concentrated in those subjected to aging.

Production

After its fermentation, a bleeding was performed 8 hours after maceration, to develop an alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature below 18º C. Finally, lees work was done during the first month of malolactic fermentation, not allowing it to fully complete, to enhance the wine's natural acidity.
